sorry guys i wont be able to make it to class today. i'm not feeling well. i hope everything runs okay. please let me know what i need to do and i'll get to it as soon as i can
This week we're putting the finishing touches on the cars(Gabe is at the doctor's today, so I hear so we're currently two cars short for the animatic, BUT he says his modeling is done and will turn it in soon) and working on the 3D layout of the cars. Once that's completed(by the end of class hopefully) we'll be working on the 3d animatic -- putting the 2d characters from the first version into the 3D cars. Then next week we can assign scenes to animate.
Animation will be in 720x540 res, the nice basic square(Rocky suggested we keep it that way to match our storyboards -- widescreen might change our shots) and Paul has already started roughing in the Metal Head scene but everything else is up for grabs. I figure we'll probably assign the scenes by character. Animation can be done either hand drawn or in pencil, but as long as the final product is a digial ink-and-color then we're golden. Every week we will bring in our WIP animations and have a class crit and discussion about where to go, and then it's just a matter of working on our scenes until the end of the quarter.
